15th May, 1958.

Dear Mr. Biddle,
Thank you very much indeed for your letter of 13th May. I am
very glad to have the names of members of the 2nd Glosters who
took part in the D-Day assault, and I am getting in touch with them
immediately.

You very kindly offered to give us some "gen": may I ask you
then to complete the enclosed questionnaire? This will help us
in arranging interviews and itineraries. My author, Mr. Cornelius
Ryan, a former War Correspondent, is at present in Paris, interviewing
French civilians and Resistance workers who were in Normandy during
the first hours of the Invasion, but he will be back in London shortly,
and as soon as I know his programme I will get in touch with you again.

Yours sincerely,
