18th June, 1958. S.E, Hollis, Esq., 33, Henry Taylor Court, Old Ormesby, Middlesbrough. Dear Mr, Hollis, Thank you so much for telephoning me this morning and for kindly offering to come and see us next week in connection with our D-Day researches. I have checked on the trains from Darlington to Kings Cross and I find that the 12.18 from Darlington on Friday night, 27th June will get you into Kings Cross at 5.35 the following morning. I am arranging for your ticket and a first-class sleeper reservation to be sent to you as soon as it is available from the Railway, so you need not worry about booking a seat, etc. The trains back to Darlington on Saturday, the 28th June are as follows:-- Kings Cross arriving Darlington 3.40 - 8.25p.m. 5.40 - 10.39p.m. 7.35 - 12.17a.m. If you will let me know which train you would like home, I will arrange a reservation for you from this end. I have been making enquiries to see if I could get a car to pick you up at Kings Cross, but it is even too early for our office driver. I would suggest that you take a taxi, at our expense of course, straight to Browns Hotel, Albemarle Street, London, W.1., where Mr. Ryan will be waiting for you with breakfast!

33 Henry Taylor Court Old Ormesby Middlesbrough Yorks 19th June '58 Dear Miss Isaacs I received your letter letting me know the train times, for which I thank you very much. If it would be suitable for you, I should like to catch the 3.40 pm from Kings X that gets me to Darlington at 8.25 pm. I have then got to get to Mlr'o which is just on the edge of the map, and from Mlro to Ormesby which isn't on the map at all, you see Miss Isaacs the last bus from Mlro to Ormesby is 10.30 pm, and if I miss that its a five mile hike. Please dont worry about not meeting me at the station, I fully agree with your office driver, 5 am isnt an hour its an affliction, the only creatures abroad at that hour are cats and Policemen (and me). I do hope this arrangement meets with your satisfaction. Yours Sincerely S Hollis
