for I can only feel to write
I am in a lonely old
[house, place ?] by the shore now all
alone in the world all but
an old Cousin a maiden
poor & old like myself wee [sic]
pick Beries for a living but

did a year ago on acount [sic]
of my blindnes [sic] oh dear Mrs
Stanford do send me a
Sanfrancisco paper now
& then It will be a great
comfort to me here in my
lonely life Canot nor am
able to send out there to

by one [?] may god bless
you for so doing & sit
look at the three down
falls of you & your dear
Husband, Son & your own
dear self think of your
goodnes [sic] to me five years
ago now dear Mrs Stanford
Write one line to me it
will be a blesing [sic] to me to
get a line to me from you
it will give me good luck
in this my life of sadnes [sic]
& misery & now god all
good spirits bless you is
