Dear Ma

We are having a little
vacation in a deserted part
of the Philippines. When we
landed at Cavite they thought
we needed a rest I guess. So
they send all the sailors and
marines here. It is like a
millionaires home in the States
all beautiful gardens and building
but that has nothing to do
with our stomachs. We don't
get half enough to eat and
go around all day talking about
things we used to get. Yesterday
we all got vaccinated. I don't
think we will stay here more
than ten days. This is the
fourth day all ready.
