Dear folks: -

Thought I would write
you a few lines to let you know
that I am well and feeling fine.

Have passed through lots of
pretty country and towns since I
arrived here. We have lots of music
here. You can hear bang, bang
everywhere. There is sure lots of
Marines here and they are doing
great work. Seen Cheyenne Mahan
the other day riding up and
down the street on a motorcycle and
hollored at him but he never seen
me. Haven't seen any of the other
boys yet, but might run on to
them yet. Woods is laid up in the
hospital with the mumps so he
never came along with our bunch.

We are sleeping in the barn, etc
but we think it is fine especialy
