Dear Folks:

First of all I want to thank Mom for the flowers.
They sure were good! Rather are, they still are
fresh and very lovely.

We are having a nice drizly rain right now and
not quite as hard as the all day shower we had last
Thursday. It should be a good day to study but as
yet I haven't done much in that line, so I'm going
to use this time to write a letter than finish my
Psych.

I didn't see the S.D. Cal. game yesterday
as after I got through working around the house
in the morining Jack Murrieta and I went up to
Ike Livermore's place in Ross, across the Bay in
the Mill valley, and brought a load of wood back to
the house in a Ford truck. Ike sure has a swell
place, sort of a lodge ontop of a mountain, the
lodge is really a manshion. Swell expresses it.
We got back here at 10 last night and as a result
don't have to work next Sat.

Standford had sort of a tough time in Wash. yesterday
but I still think that they will give the Trojans
something to think about. Here's hoping anyway.
The Bears aren't a setup by anymeans so everyone
is looking forward to two tough games. I guess that
is right to.

Sis' girl friend seems to be a very nice girl
and quite attractive. I'm glad they had a good time,
we could have given them a better time with a show
or something but we just had to take them right home
and get back to study. That is what I have to do now.
I have a slght suspicion that "Hell Week" starts
next week. None of the pledges know though. I hope
that it doesn't keep us here on the 7th. And I
would like to be wearing my old pin when I come down.

The Goofs have their first game next Sat. against
F. S. U. goofs. We will use S. C. plays as they are
all we know.

Sorry to hear that the trees have red scale
but now that they are being attended to I guess
that everything is in hand.

Say hello to everyone for me and tell Grandma
G thanks for the coppies of Gould's letters.
