A good day. Ben and Jim
and all that could drop or
plant tobacco went to the
field. Mabel staid out all
day for her first time. She
had a good time playing. Lelia
Ward and her children was at the
field this evening. I churned
and got dinner. Fried some
nice meat and had Irish potatoes.
Stewed some apples and
picked some strawberries.
Baked corn and wheat
bread. Have not seen any
one to day to hear any news.
I planted a few beet plants
in the garden.
Found one of my hens
dead this morning.
The first poppy bloomed
today. It is beautiful.
