Thursday 6th
Write Home, read a letter
from (Mr.?) Miller Carter and
wife made to the Sheriff of
(Cecil?) and (_) in
elkton, sent to Hagan Inn
bought a store for my tent
for which I paid four
dollars had a prayer meeting
in orderly Smith tent to night
had a good time had a
conversation with (the) man who
was (_) on swing night
but took him into the Church
on (foundation?) his is my highly

Very cold and snowing
all day tent very comfortable
many visitors because of
my store Doct nelson came
in and read several treatise
