1852 May 7th let Mrs Neal & Wm Burnett have
collared plants, Finished coltering over new ground
once & began to crop a little Henrys arm sore

8th Jordan Coltering in fresh ground balance
Halling up wet part there, cloudy & like Rainfor

9th Went to meeting to day scramentul [sacramental] day

10th Planting Cotton this morning, cloudy & likeRainfor

11 Coltering & Hilling in fresh ground & in groundnew

12 Rained in the evening & life for Rain
Started to Lynchg this morning with waggon
Hilling & Finished fresh ground Picked Plant Beds
Hilled all ground crossed in new ground replanted
Hillside drilled by middle Barn, etc waggon
got home from Lynchg saturday evening one of
John Hunts little negroes Died Friday night
cleared off & quite Cool,

20th Plowed Lot for Tobacco yesterday, planted
yesterday about 8 or 10.000 Tobacco Hills some
in new ground & some in fresh ground
Replanting corn to day planted corn & Peas
in Cotton Patch, Henry Harrow Corn on
Branch, Lila yet in House - clear & dry

22 Jordan Plowing in Corn mext to orchard
Henry Coltering in new ground balance
Hilling in new ground

23. Two or Three fine showers of Rain to day

24 Planting Tobacco this morning in Second
yrs ground, & new ground - warm fine weather

25 Finished freshed ground except little part
thats new ground cleared off & Hot
Planting this evening all the Hills that
made in new ground, Henry coltering
Harry Set up on Hhd to day for 37½ [?] the
staves being Jointed - & is to set up one more
at that price & one more staves to Joint for 3 [?]etc

29th A little shower of Rain yesterday, we have
finished Hilling & Planting our new ground
yesterday Plowed 2 or 3 days in our corn
Began to weed corn on Branch this morning
cloudy & like for rain, worked out Sweet & Irish
Potatoe seed.
