Dear Mrs. Stanford,

I have the pleasure to acknowldge the
receipt of your highly valued letter of the
6th [illegible] asking about the Consul Certificate
to recieve the two Sphinx of duty.

The Consular invoices which I sent
to you on Sept 25 and which Messrs
Davis Turner & Co have acknowledged
have attached to them the desired cer-
tificates to relieve the work of duty
as you have probably discovered
ere this. Feeling convinced
that everything has gone right and
no duty claimed I have not had
another [set?] made out but should
there be any difficulty I would
be most happy to renew the certificates
which should relieve the work of all
duty whatever. Believe am dear
