farmers etc - Hard looking lot - Evening I attended their show at Opera House -
Big audience & very good performance, of the amusing character - Bed at 1 -

Variable & cold - Morning light snowstorms - About town in the PM - Bed 11:30 -

Wednesday April 15

Cloudy & cold - Evening a light rain storm laid the dust a little - Was about
town more or less - Bed 12 - Stocks booming Con Va 14 1/2,etc -

Snow Stox* up WP Bennett

Thursday April 16

Same - Evening & heavy snowstorm for an hour or so - not cold - About 2 inches of
snow on ground at 12 when I went to bed - still snowing, lightly -

Friday April 17

Moderate and stormy - Several rain and snow squalls during the day - About 3 inches of snow on the ground this morning, but melted off rapidly - very muddy - Stocks still up & lightly to go higher - Bed at 1 -

Saturday April 18

Variable - Bed at 12 - Stox* a little off today -

Sunday April 19

Same but pleasant - about as usual - WP Bennett of Gold Hill got on to me in the
PM and piled a big job of cranky writing about a book he is going to print before
long - Evening at room, Bed at 12 -
