Dear Sir: In reply to your question relative to a proposed change in the form of title-page, we must say that we should regard such a change as commercially unwise. The form of titlepage which you adopted after consultation with us seems to use better than the simple one which you now suggest. Many persons in looking at a book expect to find in the titlepage some indication of its scope and purpose. This would hardly seem to be conveyed by the simple words. |
