Friday March 13

Same -- Prosecution in Jones case through at 11 AM -- rested -- Defense only, occupied rest of day till 4 PM and quit -- feel sick today, but I reported as usual -- Bed 12 --

Saturday March 14

Same -- Witnesses on both sides in rebuttal -- till 4 PM when adjourned till Monday -- My trouble of yesterday is improving -- Bed 12 --

Sunday March 15

Cloudy, PM a light warm rain for a couple of hours or so laid the dust good -- PM sent 2 page letter to wife & one to Webster -- The new management of Hale & Norcross came up yesterday, put in new Superintendent, J W [Tangerman?], and the miners all quit, refusing to work under him -- He is an old Comstocker whom the boys all know too well -- The mine shut down --

Cloudy -- PM and evening -- light showers -- In the Jones [defalcation?] case arguments of counsel came up -- Charley Jones US Dist Atty leading off for the prosecution, followed by Jas F Dennis for same -- At 3:10 adjourned -- I reported to Journal as usual -- Bed 2 --
