This morning's papers chronicle the death of Judge Shafter. One by one they cross over to the Other Shore.
We have been enjoying a blessed season of revival_ and hundreds have been brought into the Kingdom. Among them, Attorney-General Heart. Almost all of my large BIble Class have professed Christ. Some testify that they have been Christians for several years. Good seed sown is never lost. I am full of gratitude to God in all this. Labor on_ "for ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord"
I saw darling litte Jennie a day or two since. She seemed very happy, playing with her dolls_ seven of them. The one you last gave her was her favorite she said. Your sister, whom you so dearly love, is enjoying the bliss of Heaven. How new that world seems! I feel its soft breezes, more and more.
