This is a terable state of affairs. My Consienc is clear

Nothing I have done or said has ever incouraged this desparate

state of affair. Those who has been the means of bringing

it on us must feel bad

Town I rested badly last night Slept but little I went to Town

Debts tryed to investigate my matters. The debts against me was

Security for Wash Gordon & Hugh Bradshaw as well as my own

matters both in the Circuit Cort & Chancery Clks office I

did not git through I must go back if I possibly can in a

few days, & attend to it before the Chancery Court sits

which is the Monday in March inst
