loit que aultre partist a lui et a ses biens. Et que toute
aultre creature chascune selon sa nature se sentist de sa
puissanche selon che que a lui povoit appartenir. Ainsi
volt dieu establir che monde. que telle chose en peust yssir
que entendre et savoir peust la noblessche de son povoir
et de sa sapience et du bien qu'il faisoit pour l'homme
terrien. si que servir le peust en telle maniere que par
lui veust desservir les grans biens que pour lui avoit


Translation

God made and created
the whole world
of his own will so
that he might have
something which
might deserve his his goodness
if it did not fail in its obligation to him.
And so
he established this world.
Not because
it made him better
or because he had any need for it. But he made it out of his goodness
and his very great love (charity). For being very loving he wanted
someone else to share in himself and his goodness. And that every other creature, each according to his nature, should feel his
power, to the degree it could. Therefore
God wanted to establish this world, so that something could arise
that could understand and know the nobility of his power
and of his wisdom, and of the good that he
