hold themselves close to each other, each taking its own place
in the center of the earth. And if the stones were all
the same weight, the would all come there at the same
time, the one as soon as the other. Because it would not
be otherwise naturally, that one should come after the other.
You can see this plainly and without any error in this figure.

in the place from which they fell,
the one that was heavier
would come to the center
of the earth sooner
and the others would
