1875 June. 4th. Small Ahower last evening & we
are drawing plants & will plant Tobacco to
day, Edmond Dews, Nat, left as it rained
We are planting old fired & all Joining that first
Fine day to plant, rather cloudy Sun not
very Hot but very warm day --
5. Did not get done planting Tobacco Hills
made did not have plants drawn replanted
mine by Kate Cloudy this morning, Hauling
Out manure on Lot this morning, Dolley
[Boas Lain] would not hold to the Contract about
getting plant Bed from me, Templeton takes his
half the other half Stands there _ Mr Thos Owen
agreeable to take that [thick] in Harricot [????] for it
6 I went to Sunday School this day Richard
Whitehead came here yesterday
7 Cloudy & Rained a little last night
Hauling Mnure out of mules Stables to day
on Lot If [a?] we will not have enough to go over
Rained about 2 Hours moderately to day, they
are not quite done Hauling out manure
Planting Tobacco this morning in new ground
& Replanting all we first Planted
8 replanting & finished Planting Tobacco all but Lot this morning
expect to finish replanting Scatter manure on lot
& Plow it in & [then] for the corn field --
9th Hauling out manure & Plowing Lot _
Christopher Lain here at work on Plows --
10 Hauling out manure & Plowing finished
Hauling out manure & finished yesterday & to
Plowing in manured clear cool nights
Ed Dews, Nat, came here yesterday evening
Sun 2 hours High i evening & worked in cotton
this morning he is plowing Nelley in my corn
Ed D & I finshing Plowing in manure & Garden
& then for corn field, went to Beding Lot this evening
11th Beding Lot & put 1 Bag & pt Gilhams Fertilizer
in drill after Scattering manure hauled [out]
