17 Moderate breeze to light west wind first part of 24 hours with rain showers - Last part of 24 hours light variable winds rain showers - Sea rough - Barometer 29.90 to 30.10 - 1st asst went one mile from the station on important business - Keeper getting wood on the beach.

18 Light variable winds and calm these 24 hours with rain showers - Sea quite smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.10 to 30.22 - Keeper getting wood on beach & showing two visitors in tower - 1st and 2nd assts went to procure supplies and get the mail.

19 Light variable winds to moderate breeze north these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours rain showers - Last part of 24 hours clear fine and cool - Sea quite smooth - Barometer 30.4 - Keeper & assts polishing brass work - 1st asst taking covers off of coal oil cases prepairing to empty them - 1st asst working in garden - 2nd asst cleaning in his quarters - Keeper writeing in office today.

20 Light north and east wind these 24 hours these 24 hours with clear fine and cool weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.50 to 30.47 - 2nd asst cleaning brass work - Keeper went to Newport after supplies - 1st asst went to Newport on important business - Left sta at 7 A.M.

21 Light north to east wind these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.50 to 30.28 - Keeper writeing in the office - 2nd asst one mile from sta after mushrooms - 1st asst returned to sta at 4:30 P.M.

22 Fresh breeze east and light north wind these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea very smooth - General duties for the day - Keeper & assts putting 200 gallons of oil in oil butts - Keeper & 2nd washing - Barometer 30.26 to 30.20 - 1st asst working in garden & showing 2 visitors in tower - 2nd asst getting wood on beach.

23 Light east to S. east wind these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours fair - Last part of 24 hours cloudy and little damp - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.20 to 30.30 - General duties for the day - 1st asst showing five visitors in tower - 2nd asst went to Newport after mail & supplies.
