Dear Dr. Stearns:

My fur coat reached here last night. Thank you for let them sending it to me. On Thanksgiving day we had a very nice treat here. In the afternoon at four o'clock the seniors presented the whole school two plays. One was romance, the other was a funny play. After supper, the Invincibles and defenders had a basketball game. We Invincibles defeated the Defenders 39-24.

[right page] Christmas is not far from now and I think I shall see you and Alfred soon. Have yuou any idea about my trip from Peekskill to Boston Mass? I wish you will let me know as soon as you decide. Dr Stearns, is it sad about Miss Jones? Whenb I finished read Alfred's letter and I went to my room cried for her. She had been a very nice friend to me since I knew her. I really miss her a lot. I am sure all of you feel just the same as how I feel sorry for her.

[left page] Dr Stearns, there is nothing more to say but I hope you will take good care of yourself. With best regards

Sincerely yours Helen Tsai

My dear Dr. Stearns.

One of my father's friends and his wife came to see me yesterday afternoon. They were Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Patterson Jr. of New York City but I had never met them when they were in China. They took my father's introductory letter with them. They asked Sister Mary Antony if I could spend the week-end with them sometime later or not. Sister Mary Antony and I suggested that it would be wise for us to ask you first. After you decided, just please let us know that I should go or not. I think Sister Mary Antony
