Mr & Mrs Abbot, Mr. Brown & your

all love you. It is quite a privilege
that you are permitted to pick
blackberries for your yourself. You must
not pick too many & always give some
to Mr & Mrs Abbot. Show yourself
very thankful for all their favors.
This is the first letter I have
written you since you left us. I have
been at Woodstock with your Mama,
Nancy & your two little brothers
& returned last night with your
Mama. I left Nancy & your
brothers at Woodstock. I brought your
Grandma & aunt Mary to stay
two or three weeks at
Charlestown. They will return when
Nancy & your brothers come home.
