Dear Sister

I account it my duty to write since I can
not come down to see you, I know you [insertion] must be [/insertion] under great
trouble, Viz, the parting with two of your Sons [insertion] at such a distance [/insertion] [insertion] parhaps you [/insertion]
may be apprehensive you shall never see them [insertion] both [/insertion] again. What word
of Comfort or Counsel shall I writ you better then this,
that it is of the Lord, Morality and Reason plead for
Patience and Content, but your interest in the Maker
and Heir of all things may truly argue it much more
Oh that the Course which God takes to bring us
nearer to himself might have a powerful effect upon
us and ween us from low transient things and fix
them on him who is the Rock of Ages.
Is not our Father better then ten Sons, and his
teaching Rod then their prefence, consider it.
Enquire his Will, We are directed to a sure
Remedy, Psal. 37. 3.4.5 viz to trust in the Lord
in well doing only; Delight in the Lord, and
commit your way to him: let this Physick has
its true work, and the Truth of God is engaged
for a Recovery. The Lord direct all our Paths
and make us fruitful in Holiness through believing,
