Dear Saml

I send you thes few lines hoping thay will find you in health cheerfull in your imployment O Remember the one thing needfull and that is Grace an interest in Christ Wee are told to seek and we shall find. Thats a promis but then we ar not to seek in a cold [safe?] formal maner but with our hoal hearts

As won auther says Christ is apointed head of the Church as to all ends and uses whatsoever that whatever grace we need we must receive it from Christ our head and he is apoint of the Father to give it out O labour often after a holy skill to [desire?] grace from Christ as head of the Church -- he says we are greatly defective hear. He is apt to believe none are acquainted with living upon the righeousness of Christ for justification than they are acquainted with the way of desiring grace and spiritual influence from Christ the head of the Chruch for sanctification.

It may be you think you bear no relation to the Church. But are not you mistaken you was given to God in baptisem & if you give your self to God in secret to be at his disposal and take him to be your god & are in earnist for all the grace or above mentioned aiming at the glory of God then do you not one the covenant in heart

I should have now greater jouy than to hear that you walk in the truth.

I think you are much exposd upon the Sabath noon So many yong persons to gether the adversary is very busy I should think proper for you or som [ ? ] [ ? ] to [reed?] [ savd? ] as you have distinguist your silf by attening privat metings any thing ither good or bad Perhaps will be taken notice in you suner than in another.

Remember to keep holy Sabaths & that will be a means to keep you holy. Dont incroch [encroach] upon the Sabath. Remember them an evining belongs to evene day. If Sabaths ant our delight hear we shall never be admitted to that Sabath of Rest that is prepard for believers.

Be earnist with God through the mediation that you may apply the promises when you hear or read them. The word does us good when its applied.
