Status: Needs Review

Andover March 10th, 52

My Dear Parents,

The letter from
home reached me through the politeness of
C.B. in due season. I was not much in
need of it, for the Saturday before I found
one in my trunk, which afforded me much
interest. It must have been hid in a very
secret place to have escaped my notice the
day the trunk arrived: for I very carefully
took everything out, but found nothing but the
one from Mary. Thought it strange there was
no other, but made some [excuse] and dismissed
it from my mind. While getting ready
for Sunday, and taking some things from
the trunk out fell the letter and pamphlet.
The money was very acceptable, and with it shall
get along nicely. Aws for clothes, shall get a
couple of collars washed and that will be enough
to last. the term is most out, only a fortnight
after this week and I shall see you again.
I long to have it come, for tis some time since
we parted, let it has passed away very quickly
