days brought the leaves and blossoms out upon the
trees, and now the air is filled with sweet odors -
I should realy love to be at home to cut Asparagus
greens &c_ Farming although hard work is the
most independent business man can engage in, for
an industrious farmer will never loose the reward of
his labors. Time will not let me write much more
I am pretty well pressed just now, had to speak
to day: must have a composition in one week from
this, besides the regular studies_ Subject for com-
-position _ "Steam, in influence upon Society".

I should like to have you send me my light
