My dear Mother
Mr. Comstock had me up in Latin
this morning and I did not flunk. Yesterday a
pleasant letter came from Cousin Sallie saying
to come there on Seventh Day. Last night
it began to snow again and snowed all to day
which spoiled the ice which I think would
have done to skate on otherwise. It seems
like winter. Thanksgiving 3 weeks more! Xmas,
7. Not very long! The woods were beautiful yesterday
with the snow but I did not shoot anything. I saw some
partridges and I think quail. Feel very well W.W.S.
