Also voted to chose a committee of three who should select a publication to be taken by the Society. Messrs Samuel Wilson, Ebenezer Buzzell and David Morgan were chosen.
Sept 30. Met and preformed [sic] as usual, voted to recieve [sic] Messrs Oloviasit and Barrow as members of the Society.
Oct. 6th. Met and preformed as usual; also noted that the meeting in future should commence at quarter past six o clock.
Oct 13th. Met and preformed as usual, and adjourned.
Oct 20 Met and preformed as usual, and adjourned.
Oct 27 Met, having preformed as usual, resolved that the meetings in future commenced at six o clock. Also that the Journal of health, being bound by Mr Buzzell, be accepted.
Nov 3 Met preformed as usual, and adjourned.
Nov 10 Met preformed as usual, Resolved that F. Dean officiate as Librarian in the absent D. Morgan

Nov 17th. Met having preformed [sic] as usual. Resolved that a vote of thanks be returned to Mr. Kendell for a couple books presented to the Society.
Nov 24. Met for the choice of officers, elected David Morgan Pres. and for a joke Caleb Warner Vice Pres. the other officers were elected by nomination. But it being understood that Mr W. was elected was a joke many were dissatisfied, some asked dismission from the Society; but a committee of five with W. was chosen to retire into a [self?] appartments and consult what had best be done, having returned it was Resolved that the Society be broken up: eighteen were for it, and two stood neutral.
Then it was resolved that a new Society be built on its ruins, and a committee was chosen consisting of five to draft a new constitution and invite record of the old members as they saw fit, also, that all the property belonging to the old Society be given into the hands of this committee. By laws of this Society
1. all papers taken by the society shall be distrbuted to each member who shall keep them but 24 hours then give them to another of this Society. If a member shall keep them over 24 hours, he shall be fined 10 cts.
2. No person shall be permitted to divulge the secrets of this of this [sic] society to those who do not belong to the society if law be broken, the member or members shall be fined 60 cts, or left for the committee to decide.
3. persons invited into the society shall first get leaf from the reader
4. if a member take books from the society library, shall return them in two weeks, if not, he shall pay a fine of 10 cts.
5. the librarian shall take, and dispose of all the papers belonging to the society with care and libability

Any member can take 5 vollumes [sic] of books during vacation. The scriptures shall not be coated [sic-quoted] on any subject brought up as a debate in the society.
No person shall be received into the society before he is examined before the standing committee.

June 14. Met for the choice of Officers. After several unsuccessful balloting, made choice of the following: John Wilson President HE Merrill V. President Ferdinand C Putnam } Standing Committee Naheem Gale } with Pres & V. Pres Pascal PP Kidder } & Thomas S Gardiner
Chose Caleb Parmer as "lampadem curator" to take charge of the Library & Newspapers. Voted the thanks of the Society to the Ex President & Vice President for thier [sic] services the past term.
Voted to dismiss Boothes, Coley, Eaton, Burham, Boutwell, Coggin, Tugall, Bates, to join the Social Fraternity. And after listening to a valedictory from brother Coley dissolved the meeting .
