May 15. Met and performed Voted Mr Davidson summon Mr Bates to appear at the next meeting to give his reason for leaving the society. Voted Mr Davidson (by ballot) be President and Mr Bradley V.P. but not knowing whether he would accept voted to let it stand till next meeting, Mr J.B. Hadley chosen Librarian (voted to adjourn)

June 11th 1827 - Met and voted that Marsfield, Howard, S Perkins be considered candidates to join the society. The society after being informed by Mr Davidson, that he had performed his duty by admonishing Mr Bates, voted that J Bates be considered an unworthy member and be expelled from the society. Made choice of Charles C Taylor for Vice President (by ballot). Voted - that the society purchase Cecils Remains of MH Thayer performed Voted - not to have an exibition [sic] the ensuing term. Voted to get some books bound. Adjourned

[June] 28th Met performed as usual Voted that Allen canvase with Swift for absenting himself from the society
July 9th Met performed as usual Mr Swift often giving a reasonable excuser was dismissed by a vote of the society.

Jan the 2 Met performed voted to reconsider the vote, that was past [sic] the last meeting and meet at the usual hour, voted that the report of the committee should be excepted, the Committee agreed to pay Mr Noble fine, with a request that the Society would remit all the increase, adjourned
