Submitted from ASrgt Smith, Coen, which shows Mr Nott of Langi Station did not object to the blacks being on his station if paid to feed them

Sir

I have the honor to forward you the attached report No 89:97 from Acting Sergt Smith No 162 of Coen which shows Mr. Nott of Langi station in the Coen District did not wish blacks removed from his station until he (Mr. Nott) heard from the Honble the Home Secretary what would be allowed to feed them! -

These blacks have since been sent away from Langi & arrangements made to kill a bullock for them every full moon at the confluence of South Coen & Archer
