The youngest Squaw had only been married within
a few days - Her Husband was absent on a hunting excursion
to provide the morrow's repast. She was only sixteen
years of age, nature had been very bountiful in bestowing
on this young creature great personal beauty,
Her profile was of the most delicate Grecian model, Her
fine teeth, smooth forehead and pencilled eyebrows, Her small
feet and hands, her complexion between dark orange and
copper colour of a soft and shining texture announced
her at once to be the legitimate offspring of a pure
Indian Origin, Her down cast eyes were of the purest
black and white, Her hair of the darkest jet, long and
flowing down the waist, combined to give an additional
charm to her delicate figure, which was only to be surpassed
by her innate modesty and unsophisticated
demeanour.
