Ald: J.P. Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald: J. Carson

That the Committee On Fire, Water & Gas be instructed
to proceed immediately with the watering of Streets same as
last year

In Amendment 1st

Ald: Irving moves seconded by Ald: Little

That the question of watering the streets be referred
to the Committee On Fire, Water and Gas to report

In Amendment 2nd

Ald: Redden moves seconded by Ald: Gordon

That the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas be
instructed to have the following streets watered forthwith
until a definite plan is adopted viz: Princess street from
Barrie to King street from Princess to Johnson. Bagot from Princess
to Brock. Brock from Bagot to King. Wellinghston from Princess
to Clarence. Clarence from Wellingston to King

In Amendment 3rd

Ald: Allen moves seconded by Ald: Little
That the mayor instruct the Committee Commissioner
to take the names of the parties wishing to have the streets watered
at their expense for the purpose of passing a By Law- which being
put was lost Yeas 9. Nays 10

The Second Amendment being also put was lost.
Yeas 6 Nays 13

The first Amendment being put was Carried
Yeas 14 Nays 5. And the original motion was lost

On motion of Ald: R.J. Carson seconded by Ald: Redden
Ordered, that the following be a Committee from
this Council to act in conjunction with any Committee
or Committees that may be appointed by the County
Council or Agricultural Association to make proper
arrangements for the Provincial Fair His Worship
the Mayor, Aldermen Irving, Smythe, McCammon
McIntyre, Allen and the mover and that His Worship the
Mayor be chairman of said Committee

On motion the Council adjourned
