On motion of Ald: Gildersleeve seconded by Ald Harty
Ordered, That John Young be allowed to continue
the erection of sheds on Ontario street on covering the sides
of the same with sheet iron or other metal covering

Ald Whiting from the Committee On Finance and
Accounts brought up two reports (Numbers 361 and 362
Book E) which were received and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets
and Improvements brought up a Report (Number 363
Book E) which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on the Markets
brought up a Report (Number 364 Book E) which was
read.

In amendment to report
Ald McKelvey moves seconded by Ald Carson
That the first clause of the report referring to Mr
Holmes be struck out and the question of compensation to
Mr Holmes be referred to the Finance Committee to report
which being put was carried and the report was adopted
as amended.

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas and City Property brought up a Report
(Number 366 Book E) which was read and received
Re Forsyth lot. A communication of James M Forsyth
Esquire was read in reference thereto

On motion of Ald Bermingham seconded by Ald Thompson
Ordered, That His Worship The Mayor inform the
Department of Militia and Defense that the City Council
is willing to forego their claims to the lot on the Artillery
Park on Sydenham street in favor of the School Board.

On motion of Ald McKelvey seconded by Ald J Wilson
Ordered, That the City Engineer do report
to this Council at its next meeting the state of the
covered drain through Mr Dorans property on
King Street between OKill and Lower Gordon street
he to obtain the City Solicitors opinion as to the
legality of the City repairing said drain if required.

On motion of Ald Redden seconded by Ald Thompson
Ordered, That the opening up and continuation
of Sydenham street be referred to the Streets Committee
to define the line of street.

Ald Gildersleeve gives notice that he will
introduce a By Law to amend the consolidated
By Law affecting the Fire limits which was read a
first time

On motion of Ald Whiting seconded by Ald Carson
Ordered
