care we dashed like dashing fellows through the Royal
Artillery square - returning to our starting place regaled
and refreshed with the good things we have partaken of
so ended this days sport -

And now to conclude with a short advice by way of
warning - painful as it is to me yet feeling the
position in which I am placed, I should be wanting
in duty were I to pass over the occurrences of the day
in silence - First the breaking of the rules - second by
asking why did our President divide the party -
he may answer the fault is owing to Jenny - if Jenny
could speak she would lay the blame upon the President
the Rifleman and Gunner Grimes may equally excuse
