March 18th Tuesday 1880
Cold day. Wind North a hole in
the channel. Eveline washed the
clothes and hung them all outs.
Wells is some better. Grace at
school. Welly and Will boiling
sap at Delmar's. Rache came
over brought some thing for
Wells to eat strawberry preserves
&c &c. John doing general
chores &c, went skating
dark. J Niles here in evening.
Welly came home late from
boiling sap. E ironed _6 eggs_
Elmar Woodman gone to
Otawa [sic] to get married.

March 19 Wednesday 1890 A
fine day. Wind North. ground
bare and frozen. Wells, Welly and
John clean oats for grinding. John
drove to Ed Rattrays to grind them.
Welly went to Rattrays to work on
cheese factory Charley went 'Holiday
came and got his seed wheat. Grace
at school. Another new milk cow
to day which makes 5. Muriel walked
all around. Welly stoped to prayer
meeting. John and Grace gone to
this evening Visiting 10 eggs to
