Voltie hitched up and went for
Maud, Shelly & Milly and bring them
from School. Mr Niles came home
from Marysville through all the storm.
He drove up in his buggy. The ice
from Marysville to Kingston very poor
Jan 25 Thursday 1894
Voltie came down stairs this morning
singing after the ball is over.
A still bright clear morning. Wind N,
ground bare and frozen, ice glittering
in the sunlight. Wellie, Voltie, Mart
and Wells Sr went to Lindas Island
for wood found the ice good for
a double team and heavy load,
drew one load for Wellie. After
dinner Grace to get subscribers for the
Ladies World but got wrong, went
to C Woodmans, Obriens, Barrys.
After supper she went to Mrs Niles
to make an evening call. Voltie went
with Will, H Woodman to Clubbing
bay on ice foat [sic] for oil, had
to push the boat most of the way
over and back again. about 8 pm.
George Morgan Jr came home with V
and stayed till 10 PM
