Monday 12 Feb 1894
A very cold morning but Ed Bates and Will
drove up the ice to Kingston. Ed
gone out with a load of clothes bars to
peddle. Will going to help him and
then going on his own buisness [sic]
It keeps growing colder and thickening
up for a storm. At three oclock PM
a terrible snow storm from the North
with wind and cold, very cold.
I dont think Ed Bates will come
home this night nor Mr J Niles and
George Niles. They went up to Town
this morning. Mart went to school
and came home with a black eye.
The school is bad as ever. Wells
oiling harness in the kitchen.
Wellie drew a load of wood. The Doctor
over to see Sam and Lill Joslin.
