Thursday 15 February 1894
A snowy day freezing North. Voltie & Mart
studying Arithmetic all day. Mart
in Reduction and V in complex fractions.
Wells making sleigh box. I am
mending shirts. Grace crocheting
a spool bag and Maude does as she
likes. The day and Evening passed
away very pleasantly as usual.
The storm prevented going to the city as
W & V had intended.

Friday 16
A fine clear cold day.
Wind North. Voltie decorded the
sleigh by his fathers request. Wellie
came for the sled to draw wood &
Charl helped Wellie get wood from
the swale. After dinner, V & W JR
and W Sr went over the river to the
Island for wood. Wells going to Linda's.
Grace mending a dress for herself.
I washed and ironed some things.
Voltie came back and and [sic] then drove
over in cutter, for his father. Wallace
Niles came in evening and he and Mart
intended to go over to Jens to play cards.
