March Thursday 1894
A fine clear day warm, snow melting,
wind South. Wells and Voltie drew
a big log from (maple) Lindas then went to
Clayton to the races. Wellie & Mart
drew hay from the old barn. Will
mowed away one load of hay then
Will and Wellie hitched up before
the other cutter and drove to William G
Woodmans for his dog which was
at their door tuesday morning. But
Voltie had advertised in the Clayton
paper to day. I sick most all day
with indigestion. Eugene Dixon here
to stay all night. Tis the first time
he has been here for years. Mart stayed
home. Norman Petrie lost his suit with
Jess Reid. Wellie caught a sturgeon

Wind South but very still, air warm
like a spring morning, cloudy with
a sprinkling of rain, snow soft &
fast disapearing. Wellie cant draw hay.
I think this rain will cause a general
breaking up of good sleighing and cold weather
Did not rain much but warm and
cloudy. Twould have been a good
