with a cold. Milly came down
to get Mart to go to Mr Samy's to
help Sam do the chores for Frank is
not very well though he is not
very ailing. I think he is only
sleepy after eating so many oysters

a milk pan full. Wellie came up
after dinner and I doctored him

Charley W gone to Glenburnie for his
wife. Mart stays all night at Woodmans.
Sunday 4 March
A warm cloudless sky light, Wind S.
The heavy snow banks dissolving and
setting away. 5 ice boats out here on
the ice. Wellies, Charley Kendalls, Livingstons,
Niles and the Davis boat. Wellie,
Voltie and Grace out riding on Kendalls
ice boat. Mart came home at 11 A.M.
and has gone to church. M didn't like it
at Woodmans—had to clean all the stables
after 30 cows and 9 horses—said the
stables looked as if they had not been
shoveled out in three weeks. Capt Allen
& wife and Winnie Smith have come down
from Kingston and gone to Smiths and I
sit here in the warm sunlight by the south window.
