Cleared up in the night, milk
can & tub full of water, froze. A
little ice clear from this shore, our
water hole gone and not likely
to come back again this year.
After breakfast Mart went for
the mail. Grace received a letter
from Washington N.Y. Edmonds.
Wells came about 10 A.M.
Reports all right. made Eb &
Hel in a visit and last night
stayed with Mr & Mrs James Gloyd.
Wellie and Voltie hewing timber.
Wells fixing the milk wagon.
Mart choring around and smoking
his pipe about six times a day
and has now gone to Wills to
look for chewing tobaco. Grace
too has gone to Wills or started
to go this evening. Another calf at
the barn which makes three this
spring. Every thing most used up,
pork, butter, groceries, all gone,
never will starve though. Our
hens broke loose to day, two eggs
in the hen coop. Wind West & freezing
