Sunday 17 March 1894
A shower this morning from the SW with thunder,
cleared up about nine AM, sun came
out bright and clear. Charley, Belle &
the children came at 1/2 past nine AM
and stayed till 4 PM. Irene went home
with them, the little one has been here three
weeks contented as if she had always lived here.



Monday 19
A fine day. Mart plowing on
the lower place. Wells fixing the farm
waggon. Voltie doing every chore.
I washed carpet rags and washed
Volties frock and overalls and in
the evening patched and darned. Will came
over in the evening & brought his violin
& Will & Voltie played in concert with
violin an organ. Toward evening the
Pierpont went down by here and blew
us a salute.
