Tuesday 20 March 1894
A very fine day. Wind North,
last night froze hard enough
to make good sap weather. Arose
at three O'clock and get breakfast
so Wells & Wells can go to Kingston.
Had to send Mart for Wellie and then
Wellie went to Kingston without his
breakfast, arrived at the ferry to late
for the Pierpoint, so five individuals
hire an ice boat and cross to Town
and back again. Grace done a two
weeks washing, lines full and fluttering
in the wind. Devolson gone to J Niles for a calf going to exchange for a
hide. Mart plowing. Jane Niles
visiting at Will Dixon's, Charley Dixon
here twice once to borrow a saw and
again to borrow a loaf of bread.
After chores are all done, Mart goes
for the saw and Jen sends home the
loaf of Bread which I had much rather
she had kept. Wells & Wells Jr got home at
8 PM. Voltie went for the mail, a letter
from Watson and one from Laura Joslin.
Grace went with the Niles to practice
