Froze some last night. Voltie drawing
plowing. Mart & Wells Jr drawing
stone. Wells Sr tinkering at an old waggon.
Maude piecing a quilt. Grace ironing.
I am general doer of everything.
Cloudy, wind North not cold. Dalia Kenny
very sick. Dr Buchanan doctoring her
Smiths folks alone and not a boy to help
them. Laura doing all the work in doors and
out. Weather cold enough to snow.
Think it will snow before long.
Tis evening now dark night.



Friday 23
Quite cold rather cloudy. Wind North.
Boys working with two teams down by Wellies
plowing and drawing stone. Mart & Volty
did not come up till nearly dark just
in time to do the chores. I commenced
to fix Wells clothes and get things ready
to go away. Wells went over the river and
said Horace B is going Monday. Wells
went to Gloyds for a stick for a waggon
reach.
