A fine day. Grace took
up the parlor carpet and the boys whiped it well.
Grace commenced the parlor and put the bordering
on.

Saturday 28
A very quiet warm morning,
cloudy. Arose at 4 O'clock AM that Volty
cant get to Marysville to board the first
ferry for Kingston. Wellie & Mart
drawing manure below. Commenced
raining at noon and at 4 O'clock the rain
came pouring down filling our can and
tub in a few minutes. Voltie came at
5 with wet feet having stoped at
WG Woodmans since two PM.
Voltie bought a bale of pike nets.
Well after supper, CW came and V went
with him across to Riverview for xxxx
and didnt get back till 10 Oclock through
the thick fog.
