Wednesday 3rd 2nd May
A warm day
Wind South. Weighed our carpet rags over
thirty lbs. Grace ironed the clothes,
boys drawing manure and building
fence, only lbs milk this morning,
made out 6 butter prints for market.
Gave Wellie 5 dollars to buy seed potatoes.
Will came home this afternoon with prize
potatoes and fruit trees. Frank Woodman
and George Niles here this evening. Volty
putting led [sic] and corks on fish net



Thursday 13rd May 1894
A beautiful day,
very warm and calm. A breath of south
wind. Voltie drove to the dock with Grace &
a grist for the hogs, Grace carried Belle some
Kalsomine. Voltie and Mart building pasture
fence down by the Wellington's. Cows in this
pasture breaking out all the time. Voltie
finished one pike net. Wellie, Will & R gone to
Kingston. Came home late. Voltie milked
the cows alone. Nellie sent me a
Book entitled "After Two Years"
