Friday 7th
Cloudy morning, Wind South.
Raining quite hard, clears up toward eve
with fog. A steamer vessel whistiling [sic] in the fog.
Will here and helped Voltie set a fish net.
Grace kalsomined the bodour.



Saturday 5 May 1894
A very fine clear
day after the rain, cool and clear, every
field green and sparkling with dew.
Grace moped [sic] dinning room and kitchen
and pantry, the boys finish building pasture
fence by Burnhams. After dinner, Maude
and I go over to Wills and stay till dark
and R and the children came home as
far as the bars lane. Found Mrs N
and Tilly here. They went home
just in time to escape the rain which
came grandly with heavy thunder and lightning.
