Monday 2nd July 1894
A hot day, heat oppressive, barometer falling.
Voltie hoed in garden, took a super
of honey from a hive, put on another,
sharpened mowing machine, knives &
mowed a few times round this afternoon. Niles hen
in our grain again. Flora & Ethel came here, stayed
all day. Wellie went to O'briens to get something forget
and then watered all the cows and plowed out
Haynes potatoes. Haynes going to move and dont want them.
Grace at Wills all day. A powerful rain towards night
with thunder and lightning and wind. It lodged the wheat
of Esford at Wills visiting.



Tuesday 3rd July 1894
A partialy [sic] cloudy morning after the
rain. Wind south. Thunder & Lightning
in the night clears away bright
& warm, breezy. I sent John a
postal card. Grace sewing for Maud.
Voltie went to O'Briens to get the
mowing machine. Got home at
half past 12 AM. Barometer pointing
to "change"
