4th July Wednesday
Wind West cool and refreshing. Wellie hoeing Haynes
potatoes. Voltie mowing with machine.
Grace washing all forenoon then went
over to Wills and made out butter for
market and done big ironing
and walked over to Dignams and
home again. Will D here this eve
for ice. Fine cool evening. Niles family
went to Cape to celebrate fourth July. Lidy
Ranous
went with them. Wind West and blowing
a smart breeze all day. Quinn Beadle raised his big
barn to day.



Thursday 5 July 1894
A cool breeze day same as yesterday. Wind West. Wellie &
Will D gone to Kingston. Voltie milked
and Eveline milked the cows. Grace with
the Milly, Voltie, Doctored Haynes potatoes
for bugs. After dinner went for a load of
bean poles and raked hay and
milked the cows again and came home
and done all the chores. Grace drove to
dock for Wellie thinking to go with the Digmans
to Lafleur party. K & G wouldn't go for they
had had no invitation. Grace went to
Well's again to work to day.
