22 Wednesday
Dry, no rain

23 Thursday Aug 1894
A dry smoky time,
no rain for a long time.
Drove to dock this morning but
found the boat had come and
gone at six. Only passenger from
this dock being Wellington Burnham
who kept the arrangement to
himself after the change of time
had been entrusted to his telling.
Eveline and children here all day.
E & G & M milk the cows early so
Mart can drive Grace to Halliday this eve
to go on the boat tomorrow morn.
Mart got home about 10 PM bringing B.H.W.
