Saturday 1st Sept 1894
No rain, dry, smoky
and warm wind South. I sew
for Jen made Will and Charley
each a shirt. John Dixon drove past with
Saney to the foot to visit Lib Rattray
drove back and left the horse and buggy
at WC Smiths and stayed all night.
At Will Dixons Voltie went over to see
Buchanan. I come home at 1/2 past 9 PM and found
them all in bed.



Sunday 2nd Sept 1894
Wind South
and breezy. No rain. A thick
dark smoke every where. Great
forest fires in Canada and States.
Seems as though the world was all
on fire. Voltie shot a hen and
took his newspaper and went to
Bed. Grace & Maud washed the breakfast
dishes. I took care of the milk and
cooked the dinner.
